  • Really just a dad.

It's been too long. The holidays are always a crazy busy time for me but today I feel compelled to talk about this.

I really despise the media sometimes and I feel like they should save the "drama for their mama" so to speak. I enjoy light hearted "fluff" but I think their are more important things to worry about than Bristol's son's name. I know they do it because they want to put the focus on something else besides death and destruction but why don't they have more articles like the one on Yahoo! News today?

Everyone probably know how I feel about Obama's beliefs but today I was really touched by his words. In them, he was just a dad talking about his hopes and dreams for his girls. Isn't this what every parent wants for their children? No matter your race, religion, or gender? Opportunities, success, happiness. Whether or not I agree with him on how to get there, what a beautiful wish for all the children in this country, on this planet. I know it's not realistic and I am sure Barack does too but there is nothing wrong with hoping, believing, praying. Afterall we did build our nation on impossible dreams. I did not vote for Obama but he is still my president. I really hope and pray that he will do a great job.

  • Look Mom, we have a holiday tree!!

Lately I have been hearing a lot about holiday trees. I have no idea what that is. We call them Christmas Trees. I will also happily wish people a Merry Christmas. So why all this "holiday" buisness? If someone were to wish me a Happy Hanukkah, I would not be offended, I would say"you too" and move on. I realize that many religious sects celibrate a special holiday around this time but isn't part of what makes America great that we can observe our holidays as we please? Doesn't taking offense at someone's freedom of religion supress their freedom of speech? I understand calling this the holiday season; Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, etc. what I don't get is this insistance that everything that was once prefaced with "Christmas" must now be changed to "holiday" I don't understand what the aheists are so afraid of.
Even IF Jesus was not the son of God (which I know that he was, but just for arguments sake) history shows that Jesus WAS a man who spoke and lived beautiful things about fantastic love and forever peace. He performed a lot of work for the poor, the weak, etc. Isn't that what liberal atheists all about; love and peace? What is wrong with celebrating that? The Muslims and Jews believe that he was a great prophet and the Christians obviously believe that Christmas marks the birth of the King. Even if you don't believe there is a God, surely you can't deny that He is the "reason for the season" so to speak and that he should be celibrated for his work just like any great leader that we close down the office for. Without Jesus, there is no Christmas and without him there would probably not be a specific day observed by our country.
This all is not to mention that the tradition of the Christmas tree is a pagan one. Why do we have to change its name because you don't believe that Jesus was the messiah?
So in conclusion, it is Christmas, not holiday. What is a holiday anyway? Sorry, Jesus is more than a ski trip to Colorado whether or not you believe He is the Son of God.

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you have a fabulous time putting up your Christmas tree and your Christmas lights! Don't forget to send out your Christmas cards!

  • Margaret Sanger and the truth about abortion

Over the Thanksgiving holiday I rented Ben Stein's new movie "Expelled". It was a documentary about the expulsion from the "scientific" world of people who merely mentioned that there may be intelligent design. Not a God, Allah, Zeus, etc but that maybe, perhaps SOMETHING helped to form the earth. I suggest that everyone see this movie. It was incredible.
At one of the points in this movie Stein talks about the silent holocaust-abortionmostly related to Planned Parenthood who performs over 100,000 abortions a year. The interesting thing is that the founder of Planned Parenthood is Margaret Sanger. Margaret was a Eugenist who believed that blacks, immigrants, and indigents were "...human weeds,' 'reckless breeders,' 'spawning... human beings who never should have been born."  Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor people. She also believed that the purpose of birthcontrol was to create a race of "thouroughbreads" and that, "The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it." Margaret Sanger, Women and the New Race (Eugenics Publ. Co., 1920, 1923)

Planned Parenthood was formed to exterminate the infants of poor people who at the time mostly included black people and immigrants to create a "better" gene pool. She is praised as one of the most important women for "women's rights" when really she was a crazy racist.

"To stop this "multiplication," Sanger could be harsh.  Her book, "The
Pivot of Civilization", has a chapter called "The Cruelty of
Charity." In it she blasts as "insidiously injurious" programs to
provide "medical and nursing facilities to slum mothers." In other
words, Sanger wanted ethnic cleansing.  Instead of helping the poor,
she considered them (particularly Blacks, Hispanics, and Jewish
immigrants) slum dwellers who would soon overrun the boundaries of
their slums and contaminate the better elements of society with their
    inferior genes."

Planned Parenthood itself reports[18] that of the 132,314 abortions
it did in 1991, 23.2% were on African Americans, 12.5% were on
Hispanics, and 7% were on other minorities.  Thus, the total
abortions on minorities is 42.7%.  But minorities comprise only 19.7%
of the U.S. population.[19] Therefore, relative to population
*Planned Parenthood preferred to abort minorities three times[20] as
    much as whites.*

"'There is no way you can escape the implications,' argues Black
financial analyst William L.  Davis.  'When an organization has a
history of racism, when its literature is openly racist, when its
goals are self-consciously racial, and when its programs invariably
revolve around race, it doesn't take an expert to realize that the
organization is indeed <racist>.  *<Really now, how can anyone
believe anything about Planned Parenthood except that it is a hive of
elitist bigotry, prejudice, and bias?*>* Just because the
organization has a smattering of minority staffers in key positions
does nothing to dispel the plain facts.'"[21]

  • Palin Pardons a Turkey and Why I HAAATE the Media

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/vp/27838743#27838743

To get the full effect of this you must read the "breaking news" that flashes across the screen. Is MSNBC SERIOUS? Wow, I can't even believe it. The media is totally out of control. "OH MY GOOOOOSH, someone killed a turkey in the background at a turkey farm at the end of NOVEMBER." I saw the "unedited" version of this video on the local news station last night and it didn't show any blood or anything. It doesn't matter what she does, she's going to be critisized. It was supposed to be something light hearted-and the media used it to make Palin look stupid (which is per the usual). "Palin Interview Marred by Grisly Turkey Incident" is the headline it is under on msn this morning. I am under no delusions about where my turkeys come from and neither is Palin, she grew up in a hunting household just like I did! She knew exactly what was going on behind her, but wasn't bothered by it. Next time I think they should do an interview in some guy's garage while several bearded men hack at various sections of moose that are hanging from the rafters. That would be really killer. As Bob and Mark said this morning "45 million turkeys will be eaten for Thanksgiving this year, and all of them will be dead." So put that in your pipe and smoke it msnbc because you totally suck!

  • Today I voted Absentee-McCain/Palin '08 BABY!

I got into a political discussion/debate with the receptionist at my work yesterday when she said "I don't think there is anything wrong with either candidate." I said, "yea, they are both totally fantastic until we all lose our jobs under Obama's tax "plan"" I explained to her this-Naomi, who owns our company, and several other local real estate associated companies makes way more than $250,000.00 a year. We are already on a "tight" budget because of the climate of the real estate market (which I added was the reason why I make LESS than her, the receptionist, as a Senior Disbursing Officer) Obama raises the capital gains taxes-do you think that Naomi is going to change her quality of living so that we can all get raises when things cost twice as much next year? The obvious answer to that is heck no! She is from Rooooooome where everything is wonderfully glorious and everyone has healthcare. Where it takes 4 months to get a rotting tooth out. I just can't wait until the government takes over our healthcare.
Anyway, next year a gallon of milk will cost a dollar more a gallon and we will not get raises. Thanks Obama. That punch to the stomach felt really nice. Perhaps next year you could take 50% of my net wages instead of 25%, that would be just lovely. I wouldn't want all the lazy poops in this country who WON'T work to starve. All the stupid college students who are voting for Obama while your parents buy your underwear, you can kiss my 5 am wake up, 6 pm come home, car payment making, rent paying, tax exhausted butt.
I am going to Hawaii in a few weeks (thus the absentee voting). It was hard earned and I have been saving forever. I guess I better enjoy it because the next vacation will probably be a long time coming.
